- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Ground Ginger
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom
- 1/4 tsp Clove
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- 1/2 cup unsalted Butter
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 cup Chopped Nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, cardamom, clove, and nutmeg. Set it aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and continue to beat until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped nuts gently.
- Using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon, drop dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a healthier option, consider substituting whole wheat flour or coconut oil.
