Description
A creamy, savory dish combining fettuccine pasta, perfectly cooked sirloin steak, and luxurious garlic butter Alfredo sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or elegant gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz Fettuccine Pasta
- 1 lb Sirloin Steak
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
- Black Pepper, to taste
- Fresh Parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta by boiling salted water in a large pot. Add fettuccine and cook until al dente, reserving one cup of pasta water before draining.
- Season sirloin steak with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and cook the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, then let it rest.
- In the same skillet, melt unsalted butter, add minced garlic, and sauté for about 1 minute. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Gradually whisk in grated parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Adjust sauce thickness with reserved pasta water as needed.
- Add drained fettuccine to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
- Slice the rested steak against the grain.
- Plate the pasta, top with sliced steak, and garnish with fresh parsley and additional parmesan if desired.
Notes
For a healthier alternative, consider using whole wheat pasta or substituting the steak with sautéed mushrooms. Always use freshly grated cheese for best results.
