Instructions
- Prepare the Custard Apples: Cut the custard apples in half and scoop out the flesh, removing any seeds.
- Combine Ingredients: In a medium saucepan, mix the custard apple flesh, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Thicken the Mixture: Dissolve cornstarch in cold milk to create a slurry, then add it to the saucepan, stirring continuously over medium heat.
- Cook Until Thickened: Keep stirring until the mixture thickens to a pudding-like consistency, then remove from heat.
- Add Butter: Stir in the butter until melted and fully incorporated.
- Chill and Serve: Pour into serving dishes and cool to room temperature; refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
