Description

A deliciously creamy dessert made with custard apples, offering a perfect blend of flavors and textures.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Custard Apples, halved and flesh scooped
  • 2 cups Whole Milk
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tablespoon Butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Custard Apples: Cut the custard apples in half and scoop out the flesh, removing any seeds.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a medium saucepan, mix the custard apple flesh, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Thicken the Mixture: Dissolve cornstarch in cold milk to create a slurry, then add it to the saucepan, stirring continuously over medium heat.
  4. Cook Until Thickened: Keep stirring until the mixture thickens to a pudding-like consistency, then remove from heat.
  5. Add Butter: Stir in the butter until melted and fully incorporated.
  6. Chill and Serve: Pour into serving dishes and cool to room temperature; refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute with almond milk or coconut oil. Top with fresh fruits or whipped cream for added flavor.
