- Cooking Oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the Potatoes: Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut into even chunks.
- Boil the Potatoes: Boil chunks in water until fork-tender, about 15 minutes.
- Mash the Potatoes: Drain and mash the potatoes until smooth yet fluffy.
- Mix in the Flavorings: Combine mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper with the mashed potatoes.
- Form the Poppers: Shape small portions of the mixture into bite-sized balls.
- Coat the Poppers: Roll the balls in a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
- Heat the Oil: Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Fry the Poppers: Fry until golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Drain and Serve: Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve warm.
Notes
For a vegan option, substitute Parmesan with nutritional yeast. You can also bake instead of frying for a healthier alternative.
