- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/3 cup Cocoa Powder
- 2 large Eggs
- 1/2 cup Pistachios, chopped
- 2 cups Kunafa Noodles
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt the unsalted butter in a large mixing bowl. Whisk in the granulated sugar until well combined, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing vigorously. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Sift together the all-purpose flour and cocoa powder, gradually mixing them into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pistachios, reserving some for topping.
- Loosen the kunafa noodles by tearing them into smaller pieces. Melt butter and mix it with the kunafa to coat thoroughly.
- Prepare a greased baking dish. Layer half the kunafa mixture, then half the brownie batter, followed by the remaining kunafa, and finally the rest of the brownie batter.
- Sprinkle with remaining pistachios and bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool for at least 15 minutes before cutting into squares.
