Instructions

- In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until no flour streaks remain.
- Drop dollops of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are set and centers look slightly undercooked.
- While cookies bake, prepare the filling by beating together softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Once cookies have cooled, spread a generous amount of cream cheese filling on one cookie and top with another to create a sandwich.
